前言
在世界文学版图上开疆拓土

美国中文作家协会主席/《世华文学》总编辑
由美国中文作家协会(Chinese Writers Association of America)主办的国际文学期刊《世华文学 / World Chinese Literature》现已正式创刊。作为面向全球发行的大型综合性人文刊物,《世华文学》致力于推动华文文学在跨地域、跨文化语境中的交流与发展,全面展现当代华文写作的多元面貌与深层精神。
美国中文作家协会是正式注册的非政治、非宗教、非营利文学团体,具备美国联邦政府501(c)(3)公益组织的免税资质。自2015年成立以来,协会始终以发现、鼓励并服务于生活在美国、坚持中文创作的作家为使命,致力于搭建一个收藏、发表与推广文学作品的平台,并积极推动全球华文作家的交流与联结。《世华文学》的创办,正是这一初心的延伸与拓展,是我们在时代与文化交汇处所开启的一项深远的文学工程。
本刊目前为年刊,每期篇幅约25万字,突出“每期聚焦一种文体”的特色。在内容编排上,既遴选来自世界各地的优秀原创作品,又设立相应的文体理论探讨栏目,力图构建一个融合创作与研究、文字与思想、全球视野与本土经验的纸媒平台。
我们高度重视文学的美学价值与人文关怀,力求在学术深度与创作活力之间找到一种有机融合——既呈现兼具思想性与艺术性的当代佳作,也为全球中文写作者与文学研究者提供一个思想碰撞与文化互鉴的交流空间。
作为创刊号,本期主题为“微短剧卷”。这是近年来在国际舞台上快速崛起的新文体,具有高度的浓缩性、跨媒介的表现力,以及鲜明的时代感。为了回应这一文化现象,本期设置了以下五个核心板块:
“发刊词”:总编辑前言,嘉宾寄语及贺函汇编。
“原创精选”:本期刊登“美中作协杯·首届全球影视微短剧集文学剧本大奖赛”一、二、三等奖的3部微短剧集文学剧本,及一部荣获“第二届国际华语原创IP电影节——最佳微短剧集奖”的作品,使读者能通过四部完整的60集微短剧剧本,直接接触到具有代表性的文本实践。
“世华揽胜”:集中呈现“美中作协杯·首届全球影视微短剧集文学剧本大奖赛” 23部获奖作品的故事梗概与专业点评,为读者提供一次全球视野下的微短剧创作全景。
“文论透视”:收录四篇来自世界微短剧研究会研究员的理论文章,深入探讨微短剧在媒介、结构与叙事上的独特价值,力求以理论回应实践,以思想拓展文体边界。
“文坛采风”:介绍美国中文作家协会、世界微短剧研究会、《世华文学》顾问,及文坛动态。
《世华文学》虽无官方经费支持,但筹备创刊初期便组成了一支精干的九人编委会,以及来自世界各地的二十三位学术专家组成的顾问团。他们不仅是本刊质量的保障,也是我们追求卓越与坚持理想的共同见证者与支持者。
我们深知,在海外创办一本文学期刊绝非易事。语言的迁徙、文化的游移、资源的局限,使得这份事业注定充满挑战。但我们始终坚信,文学是一种穿越国界的共通语言,是一项值得投入的长期事业。这份文化理想的实现,离不开社会各界具有人文情怀与公益精神的朋友们给予的支持与鼓励。
在此,我代表美国中文作家协会理事会,感谢美国华美银行各级领导及副总裁杨霞女士对《世华文学》创刊号的鼎力支持;感谢义务为本刊奉献自己专业知识和时间的编委会成员;感谢世界华文文学界的专家学者们给予的精神鼓励;感谢众多文学团体和文友们对本刊寄予的厚望。可以说,是大家对中华文化薪火相传的深情守望、对华文文学开拓发展的坚定投入,才有了让我们在世界文学的疆域里砥砺前行的动力。
展望未来,我们希望《世华文学》不仅是一个发表文本的平台,更是一个承载思想、联结文化的空间——既铭刻他乡之思,也回应母国之恋;既激发融入之乐,也记录文化共燃的书写印记。为此,我们诚挚地邀请全球华文作家团体和文学爱好者及研究世华文学的学者专家们,让我们心手相连,共同在世界文学的版图上,开疆拓土!
Inaugural Editorial of World Chinese Literature
Breaking New Ground in the World of Literature

World Chinese Literature, an international journal sponsored by the Chinese Writers Association of America (CWAA), is officially launched. As a globally distributed annual publication, this journal is dedicated to presenting the richness, diversity, and evolving spirit of contemporary Chinese-language literature. Each issue focuses on a specific literary form or genre, blending original writing with theoretical exploration to bridge creativity and critical thinking, local experience and global vision.
Founded in 2015, CWAA is a federally registered nonprofit literary organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in the United States. Since its inception, the association has focused on discovering and supporting Chinese-language writers living in America, while also fostering cross-border dialogue among Chinese writers around the world. The launch of World Chinese Literature is a natural extension of this mission—an endeavor to provide both a platform and a voice for writers and scholars of Chinese literature in a global context.
The theme of our inaugural issue is “The Micro-Drama Volume,” a timely response to one of the most dynamic literary forms to emerge in recent years. Micro-dramas—defined by their narrative brevity, expressive focus, and multimedia potential—have quickly gained global attention. To showcase the richness of this new form, this issue features:
· Editorial Address: Preface by the Editor-in-Chief, guest messages, and a collection of
congratulatory letters.
· Full scripts of the three top prize-winning micro-drama series from the CWAA Cup competition, plus one additional award-winning script from the International Chinese Original IP Film Festival.
· A selection of 23 story synopses and expert commentaries offering a panoramic view of global micro-drama writing.
· Four theoretical essays contributed by members of the World Micro Drama Research Association, analyzing the form’s narrative structure, cultural implications, and future development.
· Literary Field Highlights: Introduction to CWAA, WMDRA, WCL Editorial Board and Advisory Panel
Though World Chinese Literature receives no government funding, it is supported by a dedicated editorial board and an international advisory council composed of distinguished scholars. Their generosity, professionalism, and shared belief in the mission of the journal ensure its academic rigor and cultural depth.
We are especially grateful to East West Bank and Vice President Ms. Kelly Yang for their generous financial support of this inaugural issue. We also sincerely thank the editorial board members for their voluntary dedication, and all those in the global literary community who have offered encouragement and entrusted us with their expectations.
To sustain and develop a literary journal across cultures and continents is no easy task. But it is this very challenge that gives meaning to our efforts. It is through the shared commitment to preserving cultural memory and expanding Chinese literary expression that we find strength to move forward—boldly and collectively.
Looking ahead, we envision World Chinese Literature not just as a publishing platform, but as a space where ideas are exchanged, traditions reinterpreted, and new narratives imagined. It will reflect both the longing of the diaspora and the resonance of the homeland; it will celebrate inclusion and inspire reflection.
We warmly invite Chinese-language writers, researchers, and literary organizations from all over the world to join us—hand in hand—as we expand the presence of Chinese literature on the global literary map.
